Dr. Tonya O'Neil is a family medicine physician at North Attleborough Medical Center, an affiliate practice of Sturdy Memorial. Dr. O'Neil entered the field of medicine because of her interest in caring for people and advocating for those who are voiceless. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, and she has interest in women's health and preventative care.
Dr. O'Neil feels that her patients are the most rewarding part about her career. She recognizes that providing care is a huge honor and she likes being able to make a difference in someone's life. As trust is established with her patients, she is able to form meaningful relationships while utilizing medical knowledge and expertise to help improve their lives.
At an appointment, Dr. O'Neil knows that many people may have fear and anxiety. She tries her best to alleviate that apprehension by making her patients feel at ease and enabling open communication. She takes the time at each appointment to get to know and understand her patients by providing them with undivided attention and care. As a physician she wants to hear about her patients medical needs, and listen to their story, also taking into account their particular needs, attributes, and circumstances to provide the best care.
Dr. O'Neil believes in the model of "practicing what you preach", and her overall health and well-being are very important to her. She enjoys reading, hiking, going to the gym, cooking, and traveling.
