Sturdy Memorial Hospital Receives Grant for New Security Vehicle

Sturdy Memorial Hospital received a grant from A.I.M. Mutual Insurance Companies to commemorate the 25th Annual Ralph P. Schlenker Golf Tournament. The funds from the grant were used to purchase a branded golf cart for the Security Department at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

The Ralph P. Schlenker Golf Tournament, Sturdy’s signature fundraising event, is a way for individuals and corporate sponsors to support Sturdy Memorial Hospital while enjoying a friendly but competitive round of golf. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Sturdy Memorial Foundation, allowing the hospital to expand and update facilities, technology, and community health initiatives. The 25th Annual Ralph P. Schlenker Golf Tournament is scheduled for July 11th, 2022.

The grant came to life when A.I.M. Mutual President & Chief Executive Officer, Michael Standing, wanted to celebrate the golf tournament’s success over the years, while honoring Ralph P. Schlenker, A.I.M. Mutual Board Member and President of Sturdy Memorial Foundation.  Unfortunately, Mr. Standing passed away in October of 2021 from an extended illness but his legacy lives on in A.I.M. Mutual’s philanthropic support of Sturdy.
