Committed to our Community- Phase 1 Reopening

We are pleased to share that we are currently in phase 1 of Massachusetts' Reopening Plan. While we have been providing care to our patients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, many services were delayed to ensure preparedness for this public health crisis. Phase 1 allows us to expand care for high-priority preventative services. These include pediatric care, immunizations, chronic disease management for high risk individuals, and procedures that can no longer be delayed.

What Does This Mean For You?

Don’t delay your care, it’s safe to see your doctor. Call your provider if you’re not feeling well. Our primary care physicians and specialists have not stopped providing care throughout this pandemic and are available for appointments. If you are in need of a primary care physician, you’re in luck. We’ve have wonderful family medicine and internal medicine physicians on our team who are currently accepting patients.

TeleHealth will continue. Talk with your provider to determine whether your care can be addressed virtually or if you need an in-person visit.

We’ve implemented new processes at both our Sturdy Memorial Associates practices and the Hospital to help keep you and your family safe. Depending on your appointment type, this may include the use of “virtual waiting rooms” where you are asked to wait in your vehicle in the parking lot until the provider is ready to see you. Please follow the specific instructions provided to you when scheduling your appointment. If you have any questions, our staff is happy to answer them. Our goal is to provide you with a positive and safe experience.

While emergency care, surgeries and procedures continued throughout the pandemic, we recently resumed urgent and necessary elective surgeries and procedures that cannot be delayed any longer. Rest assured that we are taking every precaution to keep you and our staff safe.

How Are We Keeping You Safe?

Your health and safety continue to be our top priorities.

When you come to see us at the Hospital or one of our Practices you’ll have your temperature checked and will be screened.

You’ll be asked to wear a mask throughout the building. If you don’t have one, we’ll provide you with one to wear. Social distancing precautions are in place throughout our facilities. You'll notice floor decals and signage as a reminder to keep a safe distance.

We encourage proper hand washing and have hand sanitizer throughout the hospital for your use.

At this time, visitors are restricted. While we understand this may be inconvenient, it reduces the risk of exposure.

Our environmental services team conducts extensive cleaning around the clock and follows strict protocols to ensure your safety.

Additionally, we’ve implemented special protocols for those undergoing surgical or invasive procedures and have new processes for patients having lab work or imaging done at the Hospital.
