Since 1913, Sturdy Memorial Hospital has been dedicated to providing its community with a full range of inpatient and outpatient services.
When you come to Sturdy Memorial you can expect to receive the highest quality treatment delivered with compassion and sensitivity.
What started as a 15-bed facility over 100 years ago has grown to be a 126-bed facility with over 1,000 employees. We admit over 7,000 individuals each year and treat nearly 50,000 patients annually in our Emergency Department.
We have an exceptional team of over 250 physicians, including both Sturdy Memorial Associates providers and active staff, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and highly skilled nurses who collaborate to provide services for a wide-range of medical specialties. Our physicians are also on-call for the Emergency Department.
As a community hospital, Sturdy Memorial is committed to providing health care to our primary service areas of Attleboro, Dighton, Foxboro, Mansfield, North Attleboro, Norfolk, Norton, Plainville, Rehoboth, Seekonk, Taunton, and Wrentham, in Massachusetts and Cumberland and Pawtucket in Rhode Island. However, we will provide care to anyone who needs it regardless of their place of residence.
Our Mission for Our Patients
We are a locally controlled, not-for-profit acute care community hospital committed to delivery of high quality, compassionate care that exceeds patient expectation. Our mission is to provide care to the sick and injured, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis, without regard to race, creed, national origin, age, gender, disability, or ability to pay.
Every employee of Sturdy, whether involved in direct patient care or working collaboratively to support patient care, is committed to providing patients with the highest quality of care throughout our hospital and practice settings, and to transition that level of care into the community through partnerships across the care continuum.
