Hospitalist Program

A Hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the medical care of patients who are in the hospital. The Hospitalists at Sturdy Memorial manage all aspects of a patient's care in the hospital, such as ordering tests, prescribing medications, monitoring results and progress, and readying them for discharge. They are considered to be the leader of the hospital health care team and see their patients at least once a day while they are here. The Hospitalists work with emergency department physicians, nursing staff, and other critical members of our health delivery team to provide efficient, quality care from admission to discharge.
