Emergency Preparedness

Sturdy Memorial Hospital routinely holds "disaster drills" to test the preparedness of all Hospital departments during an internal or external emergency. After the events of September 11, 2001, preparing for a large-scale emergency, including the threat of bioterrorism, became a heightened priority. Taking a leadership role in preparing our community, Sturdy Memorial has also focused on educating municipalities, health agencies, community organizations and residents about potential threats.
